Southern Lights
A design firm specializing in sports, medical, social, and cultural facilities approached us to create a website and corporate identity.
The office is located in a picturesque southern seaside town with approximately 250 days of sunshine per year.

In this case study, we’ll cover the process of logo creation, font and color palette selection.
Southern Lights mission is to create comfortable and functional spaces in social, cultural, medical, and sports facilities. The firm’s staff has worked with major companies and investors, city administrations, and Olympic Games investors.

The firm’s work is characterized by innovation and creativity, quality and reliability, as well as flexibility and a people-centered approach.
About the company
The initial versions of the logo symbolized the letter S and featured various gradients and interpretations of the sun, stars, and sky, which did not quite fit the firm's values and vision.

In the final version, the logo features a wave with an iridescent gradient from blue to turquoise, conveying the spirit of southern freedom, the sea, expansive space, and flexibility. These diverse components, representing various attributes, are seamlessly combined in a single logo and in the design bureau itself, bearing such a southern and vibrant name.
Logo
For the logo and header wordmark, we used the Bebas Neue font, which conveys rigor, clarity, and reliability—characteristics that are crucial for construction projects. The font is vaguely reminiscent of the typeface often used in the drawings themselves.

The text font is Raleway, geometric and easy to read.
Fonts
The logo and accent colors use blue #02207F and light blue #00FBBB, as well as light beige #FBFAF6 for the background and standard black for the text.
